We need a vacation!

Help! We need a vacation so badly! Life at the Harper house lately has been busy, stressful, and totally monotonous at the same time. Basically, we are looking to get out of dodge. Just a quick trip over a weekend that we could easily do without jumping on an airplane or driving for hours and hours. And it would be nice if it didn't break the bank either. I'm sure you all have way more exciting lives and have taken some fun little weekend getaways in your time- so I'm asking you, any great ideas???

No weekend get-aways for us- EVER-after nearly 4 years. Wish you lived closer so you could go to Disney! I wish you luck! A break in the monotany is good for the soul. <3

DETROIT... that is my vote, for sure. If not here... then there are a lot of cruises that are really, really affordable right now that might be a good choice, or-- our VERY favorite escape when we lived out west was to Jackson Hole. It is beautiful in any season and it fabulous for shopping, hiking, and having a good time. Plus-- the Bunnery has the best chocolate cake (and buffalo burgers, I hear ;) out west.

Vacationstgeorge.com has a $99 deal where you get your hotel room and two tickets to the Tuachan theatre, which is an outdoor theatre and they are doing the plays Tarzan and Cats right now. We went last year and it was awesome. We're going next weekend too.

I second the St. George suggestion... or there is Cedar City with the Shakespearean Festival and about a million cute B&Bs or Logan for Utah Festival Opera.... or you could go to Idaho!

Definitely here in San Antonio!!! J/K, that's about a 2 day long drive and that's not what you're looking for. Jake and I love to go to the Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast in Rigby. It's just so nice to get away be by the Snake River and their breakfast is delicious! We went there three weeks ago, and we will go there every time we come back to Idaho.
